Seattle Mime  Theatre tours its most successful assembly program ever. No white faces, these mimes TALK, and move and energize and amaze and intrigue and inspire! MimeShop is an educational program first, but one that is integrated within a very entertaining event for students and staff alike. Students simply connect with this new art form. They “get” its power to make the impossible real, to illuminate literature, to express joy. Their experience is entirely reliant on their creative imaginations. When the performance ends, they talk about it with each other and their teachers. They physically try out some of the techniques they saw. They tell their friends and families what they experienced at school that day. And they never forget it. SMT study guides show the many ways this performance ties in with school curriculum.
