Seattle Mime Theatre has been performing and teaching around the world since 1977. The company has performed for the International Festival of Art in Singapore, the International Arts Carnival in Hong Kong and in communities throughout forty-two of the fifty United States. While our outlook is global, more than 85% of our work takes place in the Pacific Northwest, and more than half of that in the Puget Sound region. Our work allows us to interact with a wide variety of audiences and populations. We have toured as part of the WESTAF Tour Roster, WA State AIE program, King County Performance Network, and Arts Northwest. We have received funding from the NEA, CCA/Artsfund, Allied Arts, as well as the WA, King County, Seattle and Tacoma Arts Commissions. Seattle Mime Theatre also maintains its offices and its own Chamber Theater (50 seats) on Seattle’s Capitol Hill.
